Miscellaneous thoughts #8

* Two commissions remain, one for and one for . There's going to be at least one Halloween pic before them, though.

* My studies for this semester have finally started full-force and I have plenty of written assignments to do in the next two months. As usual, this means less art time. Boo.

* I've received a lot of comments regarding my second answer essay that deals with my thoughts on The Fairly OddParents (read it here: part 1, part 2, part 3). The majority of it has been very positive, with many people saying that I expressed how they feel about the show, both how it was and how it is today. Thank you for all your comments.

* Some suggestions have been made for a third answer essay, one obvious choice being my thoughts on Danny Phantom. I don't think I'd make it as thorough as the TFOP essay, though, and I can already say that many of the issues I've had with the latter half of TFOP partially apply to DP as well. Instead, I'm thinking about making it even more personal and "bloggish" than my previous essay, and perhaps give my thoughts on how I feel the show should've been executed. Hey, it's not called 'wasted potential' on 4chan without a reason... (or two... or three... etc.)

* No Jocktober this year because Anthony Cumia got fired. Fuck... although there might to be some annihilation of The Todd Show since it's just so bad it can't be ignored. Let's hope that happens, I need my yearly dose of hack radio being demolished in a hilarious fashion. Update: here it is.

* I don't like the recent changes to dA, specifically the graphical updates. I removed the 'Activity' window as quickly as possible from my front page. I don't need that kind of social media shit.

* The most recent commission I did can be viewed on Paheal, alongside an extra Brit Crust piece I did. Just type in 'DLT' in the search bar and enjoy. Adults only.

* Speaking of commissions, I've once again commissioned another artist to draw something for me. This time, it's and the pic in question is of the nature that I cannot post it here on dA

* I wonder if Brad Bird had plans to include Mirage in the upcoming sequel for The Incredibles. If so, he'll either have to remove her from the script or get a new actress to voice her since the original VA, Elizabeth Peña, recently passed away. I wouldn't also be surprised if Mirage is killed off in the movie since Bird isn't afraid of having a feature film for the whole family deal with death and dying.

* Since I don't want to end my current journal entry in a paragraph about death, I'll get back to the Halloween pic. came up with a great idea for a theme for this year's pic way back in late April and I've been itching to do something with it ever since. However, for some reason I've had trouble nailing it down to a good sketch or two and since it's already October 18th and I still haven't finished my 15-page sociology essay, I may end up having to release these things later, maybe next year.

* If I fail to complete my original plans for the Halloween pic(s), I do have a back-up plan in case that happens. Remember that pic released of Vicky in '80s clothes? Yeah, well, I kinda jumped in on the bandwagon (as mentioned in the comments below the pic), and also included Tootie. I'll have at least that pic done for October 31st, even if it's not necessarily a Halloween pic... but we can pretend it is, right?
